Besides being a huge fan of our shakes and smoothies...
Our partner, Chris Paul, invested in Koia to make plant-based nutrition more accessible to all. Together, we are working hard to get Koia vending machines on HBCU colleges and university campuses. Paul has also seen major benefits in his life since he personally adapted a plant-based lifestyle.
“For me, it was such a drastic change because I’m from the south. I’m from North Carolina. So, I grew up eating after church on Sunday. I’m at my Granny’s house; we got the full spread of soul food laid out. A lot of times, eating that way is a part of your culture and history, and your way of life,” Paul tells (Forbes) the Culture.
To change that, Paul partnered with us to put Koia in vending machines on the campuses of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU).
“First and foremost, they have to be introduced. To go on to these college campuses and to try to educate kids is a great place to start. The younger someone is exposed to plant-based options, the better, he said. I didn’t learn any of this until I was 33, 34. But better late than never. More people are going to start to see the benefits.” Paul tells (Reuters).
Our joint mission to provide delicious plant-based food to all is the start of a longtime partnership to shift the way people think about food.
