The smoothie we’ve been making on repeat lately. It’s thick, creamy, packed with strawberry banana flavor, and an easy way to get more protein and fiber into your day.
Koia Vanilla Protein Powder gives this smoothie 20g of plant based protein and 6g of fiber before you even add the fruit. Frozen strawberries and raspberries add even more fiber, while hemp seeds bring a little extra plant protein, healthy fats and omegas.
The key is using all frozen fruit and starting with less almond milk than you think you need. It keeps the smoothie extra cold, thick and creamy.
Ingredients
1 small frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/3 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 tablespoon hemp seeds
1/2 to 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, plus more as needed
Instructions
Add everything to a high speed blender, starting with 1/2 cup almond milk.
Blend until thick and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides or adding a small splash of almond milk as needed. Keep the liquid to a minimum for an extra thick smoothie.
Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
Why We Love It
Protein packed: Koia Vanilla Protein Powder adds 20g of plant based protein per serving, with a little extra coming from the hemp seeds.
High in fiber: Koia Vanilla Protein Powder has 6g of fiber on its own, and strawberries, raspberries and banana add even more. Altogether, this smoothie packs roughly 10g or more of fiber, depending on the exact ingredients used.
Healthy fats and omegas: Hemp seeds add healthy unsaturated fats, including omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, along with additional plant protein.
Extra thick and creamy: Using frozen fruit and just enough almond milk to get everything blending creates an extra cold, spoonably thick texture without needing ice.
Simple, satisfying and packed with protein and fiber. Basically everything we want from a smoothie.
